DTEK Mine Komsomolets Donbassa

DTEK Mine Komosomolets Donbassa is one of the largestproducers of thermal coal in Ukraine. Its industrial reserves amount to 117.3 million tonnes, which at the current rate of production equates to enough for 27 years. The enterprise has its own coal-preparation complex, enabling it to make low-ash coal products, which are supplied to end consumers.

DTEK Mine Komosomolets Donbassa produces T-grade (lean) coal, which has a high specific combustion heat. Its main customers are the Vostokenergo and Dneproenergo power generation companies (which accounted for 99% of sales in 2009).
