DTEK Rovenkianthracite LLC

DTEKRovenkianthraciteLLC–is an integral anthracite extraction and preparation property complex comprising 6 mines, 3 coal preparation plants and auxiliary divisions located in Bokovo-Khrustalskyi and Dolzhano-Rovenetskyi geological and industrial regions in the East of Ukraine.

The company has 226.8 million tons (Mt) of coal reserves on its balance. Commercial reserves comprise 169.8 Mt. At the current production rate the estimated volume of DTEK Rovenkianthracite’s reserves allows for more than 40 years of extraction.

All the DTEK Rovenkinthracite’s mines have a sufficient amount of explored reserves. Almost all of them have a possibility to add reserves both from additional blocks of developed seams and from development of additional seams. Given the possibility of reserves addition the service life of the mines can be doubled.

In 2012-2016 it is planned to invest UAH 2.998 billion into DTEK Rovenkianthracite. The funds shall be used for purchase of modern equipment, capital construction and creation of comfortable working conditions. Due to investments the output of DTEK Rovenkianthracite’s is expected to be increased by 7.1 Mt by the end of 2016.

The mined coal is supplied to TPPs of Vostokenergo, Donbassenergo and Dneproenergo as well as to metallurgical companies of Ukraine. A part of coal is exported.

About 5% of the mined coal is used for own needs of the enterprise and for fulfillment of social programmes.
