Work with educational institutions

DTEK is implementing a multi-course programme for working with leading Ukrainian higher education institutes. Strategic Partnership Agreements have been signed with Donetsk National Technical University and Dnepropetrovsk National Mining University. In the first half of 2011, an agreement with the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’ is going to be signed.

Their aim is to strengthen the theoretical teaching acquired by students at the institutes and convey the modern scientific techniques used by leading Ukrainian and international companies. To do so, the Company works to develop new professional standards and work qualification commissions. In conjunction with the universities, DTEK selects promising students who take special courses created by DTEK experts alongside their college programme. As part of these special courses, Company managers hold lectures, seminars and master classes.

Partnerships with institutes of higher learning also allow students to take production and pre-diploma practical courses at DTEK’s leading enterprises. In addition, the Company provides funds to universities to enhance their levels of technical education.
