DTEK’s employees represent one of the Company’s primary competitive advantages and are the foundation of its sustainable development. We are dedicated to developing the potential of our staff and attracting highly qualified personnel.

DTEK values and respects its employees. It has set itself ambitious goals that can be achieved only through the efforts of a unified team of professionals. The Company’s system of human resources management is based on the corporate values shared by all employees.

Our human resources policy is built on the following principles:

  • Observing existing labour legislation and human rights;
  • Ensuring competitive remuneration for employees, taking into account their professionalism, the complexity of the work involved and the amount of responsibility;
  • Investing in education and training to help employees to fulfil their potential and make a worthy contribution to the Company’s success;
  • Providing social support to employees.

DTEK is interested in talented, proactive and highly skilled professionals. It therefore places great emphasis on its employee development, based on an advanced skills model, providing employees with the abilities needed to achieve the Company’s strategic goals. Employee skills are structured into three main groups. Corporate skills set the requirements for all employees, determine potential for career growth, and define personal circumstances and motivation. Managerial skills describe the abilities needed to be a successful manager at the Company and they determine how prepared employees are for executing managerial tasks. Functional skills describe the specific abilities and knowledge needed when performing functional tasks.

To create and develop the full range of skills in employees, DTEK invests heavily in training. It has a corporate university, the DTEK Academy, which is dedicated to developing skilled employees and managers at the Company.
