Boiler unit

boiler built into a system to generate pressurised steam or hot water by burning fuel. The main part of the boiler unit is the combustion chamber and flues that house the heating surface and absorb the heat from the combustion (super-heater, water economiser, air heater). The boiler element is mounted on the frame and is protected from heat loss by refraction and insulation. Boiler units are used in thermal power stations to supply steam to the turbines. Industrial and heating boiler units are used to generate steam and hot water for technical and heating purposes. They are also used in ships' boilers. The construction of a boiler unit depends on its designation, the type of fuel used and the combustion method, the steam unit, and the pressure and temperature of the steam produced.
