Anthracite

A hard form of black coal that contains 90-94% carbon. It ranges in colour from dull grey to jet black with a glassy or semi-metallic shine, and is harder than lignites or normal types of coal. Anthracite is an excellent fuel, but needs a strong flow of air to burn; it burns without a flame (or with a very weak one) and with no smell or smoke.
