Labour safety
Our labor safety management system is the basis for taking measures to ensure a high level of production efficiency and safety. Health, Safety and Environment Committees were established within the Supervisory Board and Executive Board of DTEK.
Our coal mining and power generation units underwent a certification audit, and confirmed the compliance of their labor safety management system with OHSAS 18001:2007. The certification audit held by Moody’s International confirmed the successful integration of the standard’s requirements at our coal mining, coal preparation, energy generating and supply companies. DTEK invested UAH 175 m in this project.
Throughout DTEK’s companies, an advanced corporate system of labor safety management was developed and implemented, with subsequent training of the linear managers of the Company in the new management methods.
OHSAS 18001:2007 “Occupational Health and Safety Management System" is a set of international standards to form a company’s labor safety management system as a component of its total management system.
