The Brand
The DTEK umbrella brand unites all of the Company’s assets. The logo is intentionally split into two parts representing the two businesses: fuel and energy. The black colour symbolises coal production and preparation, and the square after the letter “D” is the sign for a coal mine on economic maps. The sharp ends of the letter “K” match the form of an arrow, the symbol of energy, and the yellow colour supports the image. The letter “D” combines both areas of the Company’s activity. The combination of the supporting black and active yellow colours matches DTEK’s image as a harmoniously and rapidly developing modern company with vertically integrated coal and energy assets.
In 2009 DTEK completed the rebranding of its Corporate Centre and production enterprises. The creation of a unified, strong and widely recognised corporate brand is seen as an important factor in the growth of the business’ capitalisation through the introduction of a unified corporate culture at all of the Company’s enterprises. The unified DTEK brand is vital for strengthening our market positions in Ukraine and ensuring a successful entry onto export markets.
